Choosing Necklace Beads
There are many sources to choose from when selecting your necklace beads. But before you start looking for the perfect beads you need to ask yourself a few questions to determine you make the right choice and are not wasting your time.
- Who is the necklace for?
- What is the age of the person who will be wearing the necklace?
- What style will suit the wearer of the necklace or the occasion it will be worn in.
- What length does it need to be?
- How heavy should it be?
- What is the budget for the supplies to make the necklace?
Once you have answered these questions you should have more clarity on what type of beads you should buy, but wait there are still some more questions.
Style, what kind would suit yourself or the wearer. Some of the possibilities include; modest, show, artistic or super elegant to name a few. The necklace must match the outfit being worn. As whole this is a reflection of your personality and mood at that point in time. They style and colours can be affected by latest fashion trends so be mindful of these.
Colour is a key factor in your choice of necklace beads. Pay attention to the background colours the beads will be worn on. Skin colour and clothes colour will affect the look and feel of the necklace. Also consider the colour of the beading thread you will use. The type of material the bead is made from often determines the range of colours available. Glass beads have a wide range of colours whereas crystal beads are more limited.
