Which Athletes Love Jewellery

In Europe many top footballers are earning from £70,000 to £150,000 per week. Some of them are big fans of jewellery and all of them are big fans of fast and expensive cars. I have to admit that I haven’t seen that many European footballers that wear jewellery than African football players. Africans are fond of all sorts of jewellery from diamond to silver jewellery than European, Asian and American footballers. Though, South American footballers are not that far away.

There was one time when footballers were able to wear jewellery and play football, I have seen few Senegalese and Cameroon footballers wear jewellery while playing. These days you can’t wear jewellery in any contact sport and it has been banned in football too so Ronaldo can’t show off his new silver earrings while playing in the pitch. As Ronaldo dives quite a lot he might hurt himself through his earrings.

It’s not only footballers who love jewellery have you seen the African and American athletes in Olympics now they have some solid gold and silver necklaces around their neck. I am sure you have seen these athletes wear heavy jewellery and run. That is quite mad especially US athletics superstar Michael Johnson’s huge gold necklace that he used to wear everytime he ran. I am sure if he ran without the heavy gold necklace around his neck he would have been much faster than his World record pace.

Here are some names of athletes and footballers who love wearing jewellery: David Villa, Carlos Tevez, Fernando Torres, Christiano Ronaldo, David Beckcham, Rio Ferdinand, Francesco Totti, Dwain Chambers and Jose Maria Gutierrez Hernandez.

So how can athletes be able to wear jewellery and run if footballers are not allowed to wear them in the field while playing? They should just ban jewellery in all sports other than banning them in contact sports. I can understand footballers and these athletes love to show off what they have but they can do that in their life outside their job not within the field.
